Call for Case Studies

To compliment the Call for Scientific Papers, all relevant stakeholders are invited to submit Case Studies for consideration to be presented at the eSkills Summit 2010. The conference language is English and submissions should be for business, government or civil society case studies within the scope of the Summit.

Case Studies should clearly outline how the project outcomes contribute to the broader context of e-Skills, which includes the social appropriation of ICT for local community benefit, showing how these results are aligned with and contributes to the South African Medium Term Strategic Framework (2009-14).

Case Studies should provide an Introduction (context for why the initiative, pilot or project was undertaken), the specific objectives, the methodology undertaken, a description of the case study, lessons learnt, business benefits and/or social impact as a result of the action and how these results can be replicated at a national or regional level to share best practise.

Papers (4 - 8 pages) using the eSkills Summit Case Paper Template must be submitted via the conference portal by 02 July.

All case studies submitted will be double blind peer reviewed by the International Programme Committee to ensure relevance to the Summit and to provide actionable feedback on improvements required for final papers to be included in the Proceedings.

It is a condition of submitting a paper that (a) authors act on feedback and comments provided by the International Programme Committee (IPC) to ensure high quality Summit proceedings and (b) presenters register and pay the participant's fee by 12 July 2010, before the publication of the Final Programme.

All final accepted papers will be published in the Summit Proceedings and will provide contributions for discussion points in the break out sessions in the Programme.
